I have been closely involved in the fiber arts since I was in my teens. In high-school, my oldest sister taught me how to knit. Then in my sophomore year of college, I taught myself how to crochet to better cope with the stresses of my rigorous coursework. In early 2010, I started an Etsy site, as well as a YouTube channel to sell my work, and to teach others the ins and outs of crochet. After some time, I was recognized by Etsy as a Featured Seller, and had a profile done of my shop and work. After I graduated with degrees in Ecological and Evolutionary Biology, as well as Studio Arts, I found myself wanting to teach. I found Schacht Spindle Company where I started as a shipping clerk, and have since risen to managing the social media program. Since starting at Schacht, I have become a proficient weaver and spinner, and never miss an opportunity to help someone with their questions about their craft. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them in my Blog! Drop me a line to ask! I hope to continue teaching others about the fiber arts and keep the passion alive. You can find my tutorials on my YouTube Channel as well as my Curious.com profile.
